Spring Skiing Conditions and a Mountain Update
Wow, this is crazy weather for March. Last year at this time most of us were still trying to uncover our mailboxes (or replace the one the plow truck trampled), while this year golf course are opening early and bike paths are crowded with outdoor enthusiats. Unfortunately, these unprecedented warm weather conditions over the past several days have effected mountain conditions. While the mountain remains open, terrain is somewhat limited and no beginner trails are available. You can see the full Conditions Report here. In case you missed it, Killington posted some sweet spring skiing and riding photos on their facebook page.
The Tweed Winter Carnival is still going on this weekend, please see the updated schedule and there is still time to book your lodging- check out our special offers.

It's Snowing in Killington, Oct 15th, 2010

Snow covered cars are creeping past the office on the Access Road, and we’ve even received word that the plows are out! Killington Fall Foliage is in Full Swing
With the official start to Fall behind us, and a much needed stretch of rain on the East Coast, there's no doubt that the foliage in Central Vermont is beginning to look beautiful. And the Killington region is preparing for Fall's biggest event at Killington Resort. The 15th Annual Killington Brewfest promises to be the premier event of the upcoming Fall foliage season. As in past years, event-goers can expect the very best in local brews, fantastic live entertainment and delicious food, put on against some of the most beautiful fall foliage in the New England region.
Wise Vacations is offering a special weekend lodging package for the Killington Brewfest, and we have a few suggestions for what types of properties would fit your group. If you are looking for the best lodging deal, check out Whiffletree Condos, they are right in the main basin area, which means you're close to the Brewfest. If you have little ones, there is a small playground area. If you're looking for something with more amenities and an upscale feel, let us suggest The Woods Resort and Spa. Attention to all the men out there trying to convince their better half to come to Vermont for the Brewfest: you will have a lot more persuasion power if you mention there is a full service Spa where you are staying. In addition, the on site indoor pool is a great attraction for kids of all ages. If a private home is your desire, we have many to choose from and among our Fall foliage favorites is Roaring Brook Cabin, it truly is what Vermont is all about, a must see.
