While May and June tend to be the quietest and most laid back months of the year in Killington, the Wise staff was hard at work- doubtless, our office was anything but quiet and laid back.
At the beginning of May Wise Vacations played host to the Killington Chamber of Commerce Monthly Mixer. One of our largest, most upscale private homes, Juggernaut Farm, was the chosen venue for the event. A new local deli on the Access Road, The Phat Italian, catered the affair. And, our friends up the road at The Lookout Bar and Grill hosted the cocktails.
Leading up to the day, the Lisa and Ryan diligently prepared Juggernaut Farm for the event. Having been vacant for several weeks during the spring, the home simply needed a freshening up on the inside, and a sprucing up on the outside. By the time they were done, the home looked beautiful, and when the day arrived for the Mixer, the weather was gorgeous, a warm and sunny Vermont afternoon and evening.
Overall, the turnout was great for one of the slower months of the year. The entire Wise staff was in attendance to chit chat and connect with the many area and local business owners and managers who came by to enjoy the good food and fantastic atmosphere. Among them, the manager of Killington’s lodging bureau was able to get a keen look at one of our nicest lodging properties, and in general it was a wonderful opportunity for Wise Vacations to enhance our community relations as well as promote our business.
In addition to our community efforts, the Wise staff has been busy behind the scenes as well. Spring cleans, carpet cleans, and other property maintenance have been taking place over the course of the past several weeks in order to ready many of our properties for the July, August, and beyond summer long term rentals. This week is a busy time in our front office as all of our guests whom we have been eagerly preparing for, begin to arrive and get settled. As always, Wise is there to handle all of our guests’ requests and all of the last minute preparation.
Finally, our Rental Program Manager Stacy reports that many of you have requested estimates on various summer projects. No doubt these upgrades will prolong the lifespan of your home, protecting your investment. Equally as important, any interior enhancements will go a long way to improving rental performance. Should you have any questions about a possible summer project, please don’t hesitate to contact Stacy via email, or call the Wise office at your convenience.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July celebration!
